Transparentem was founded by Mr. Ben Skinner and granted tax-exempt status in October 2015. The organization seeks to spur transparency and accelerate ethical behavior in important global industries. It works to achieve that mission by identifying and investigating endemic human and environmental abuses upstream in manufacturing supply chains. The organization's initial focus has been on apparel, footwear, and accessories.
