SiDx, Inc.
Developing diagnostic platform for rapid blood-typing and pathogen detection
SiDx was founded in 2017 by Dan Ratner, Eric Larsen and Jill Johnsen based on silicon photonic detection technology developed at the University of Washington. Micro-sensors arrayed on a silicon chip and rapidly interrogated by laser are used to detect reactivity to various compounds of interest. The small scale, rapid detection and broad application should enable a cost-effective, point-of-care solution to high-valued diagnostic testing.
