Cell-free synthetic DNA production

Elegen is developing a device that can write DNA and RNA at a cost and speed that is one-tenth the current industry standard. The device is based on two novel technologies positional encoding of synthesis beads and cell free assembly and cloning techniques. The company was founded in 2017 Belmont, Ca by Matt Hill (CEO). Other leaders include Marc Unger (CSO) and Dan LaCaze (CBO).
