Empowering students from marginalized families to access, enroll and graduate from college

College Possible Washington is a Washington-based organization that empowers students from low-income families to access, enroll and graduate from college. The organization employs AmeriCorps members to build one-on-one relationships with high school students, mentor them through the college application process, and work side-by-side to overcome barriers that may otherwise prevent them from securing a college degree. At partner high schools, AmeriCorps members spend four full days a week on campus leading weekly sessions for juniors and seniors, providing one-on-one advising and support, participating in staff meetings, and collaborating with teachers, administrative staff and career counselors.
