Lucida Medical was co-founded by Dr Antony Rix (CEO) and Professor Evis Sala (CMO) in 2021. The company develops software based on artificial intelligence methods (machine learning and image processing) to enable radiologists to find cancer accurately, consistently, and quickly using MRI. Pi, Prostate Intelligence is the company’s first product. It is a CE-marked medical device to support the analysis of MRI for prostate cancer diagnosis. Pi augments a radiologist’s interpretation of prostate MRI in three ways, it: 1) improves patient selection for biopsy, 2) improves identification of targets for biopsy, and 3) provides high quality segmentations.
