Vertage was founded by Peter Corsell and Washington DC-based chef Margaux Riccio. They were joined by Mark Crumpacker and Tim Wildin to develop and commercialize a line of plant-based cheeses to capitalize on the growing trend of flexitarians (actively trying to reduce meat and dairy consumption).
